That is if you were to inherit 10 million dollars and pass whatever of was left to your child, sometime in his/her lifetime it would be completely gone.

I'm begining to see why.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22535876.post-1154816529262850002006-08-05T15:22:00.000-07:002006-08-05T15:22:00.000-07:00yup... The job passes the lottery test. if I won the lottery today, and didn't have to work and could pick any job, what job would I have...? Mine.

Fortunately, some of mine can and does get done from the beach! ;-)Athenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15944962059749126687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22535876.post-1154804840501635822006-08-05T12:07:00.000-07:002006-08-05T12:07:00.000-07:00Hmmm, yes. I've bought two houses in my lifetime and I paid for them both myself, (second time my husband and I) .I also couldn't/wouldn't stop work as I love what i do, so the whole concept of golfing or any recreational thing as life in toto does not compute.moonvalleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12058991195867052788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22535876.post-1154745095338296022006-08-04T19:31:00.000-07:002006-08-04T19:31:00.000-07:00well, if my parents bought me a house free and cle...well, if my parents bought me a house free and clear I know what I'd be doing... inviting you to come hang out at Chez Athena's on the beach! ;-) But sadly I am of the sort that ends up paying my parent's mortgage and not the other way around.

on another note... take a look at those stats again:

37% of had parents give them $$ for their down payment

and

43% of home buyers made no down payment

that accounts for 80% of home buyers... umm... this can't be a good thing.Athenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15944962059749126687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22535876.post-1154743457803767902006-08-04T19:04:00.000-07:002006-08-04T19:04:00.000-07:00Wow Athena, this is soooooo true. One guy actually had his dad give him the downpayment for the house, then his dad said "oh what the hell" and paid off the entire house for the guy.
He has no mortgage, only property taxes for expenses, tends to live frugally and is now spending all his time playing golf with his buds and goofing off.moonvalleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12058991195867052788noreply@blogger.com
